Agricultural insurance

Agricultural insurance covers the company’s production against unforeseeable damage and catastrophic and uncontrollable consequences.

What is agricultural insurance?

Agricultural insurance covers agricultural, livestock, forestry and aquaculture production. It serves to protect businesses from certain meteorological phenomena, accidents and      livestock diseases, mainly.

Objective of the insurance

The main objective of agricultural insurance is to protect and conserve production. In the case of agricultural production, insurance serves to protect crops against, for example, pests or climate risks. In the case of forestry operations, among other types of coverage, the risk of fire is covered. Livestock insurance can protect against animal diseases or drought. Aquaculture insurance, for example, serves to protect aquatic animals and plants.

How do we work agricultural insurances?

Before taking out the policy, the O. Brokers team analyses exactly the type of production to be protected and its possible risks. The aim is to offer a proposal that covers the client’s concerns and any claims that may arise.

We gather the necessary information in order to prepare a complete proposal.

We also stay abreast of the subsidies that the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food grants through the State Agricultural Insurance Entity (ENESA). At the same time, the autonomous communities also give grants, and it is important to be well informed, so we regularly update all matters concerning grants.

Once insurance has been taken out, we carry out regular checks to ensure that the production is properly insured and protected.
